Dr. Callahan completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Utah and University of Alabama-Huntsville before attending dental school at University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Dentistry, during which time he completed 2 dental mission trips to Honduras. Dr. Callahan graduated with High Distinction as #2 in the class and in 1999 was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. After graduating from dental school Dr. Callahan spent 3 years as a Captain in the U.S. Air Force while completing Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency. He received the Major General Arthur J. Sachsel Award for Excellence in Dentistry as the top resident and spent 1 ½ years as an associate in Huntsville before opening own office.
Dr. Callahan is actively involved in dental care for under-privileged children through school-based program at HEALS Dental Clinic (Health Establishments At Local Schools).
Dr. Callahan is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and Huntsville-Madison County Dental Society. He and his staff regularly attend continuing education seminars to enhance their ability to serve patients.
He is actively involved with church service including positions with the youth such as Scout Master and presently as Cub Scout leader.
Dr. Callahan is a committed family man with 3 children and enjoys sports, traveling, gardening, and spending time with family.
